Flights to the Royal Show

All those travelling to Pietermaritzburg for The Royal Show will be delighted with the low prices that were offered for travel from Johannesburg to Durban on the day that the event starts. The Royal Show started in 1851 and therefore has a long history with the Royal Agricultural Society of Kwazulu Natal. Visitors to the show can expect hundreds of exhibitions and livestock competitions throughout the duration of the show.

Johannesburg to Durban travel

Travel from Johannesburg to Durban has decreased significantly since the last survey done on this route. Kulula offered the cheapest flight when we checked, with a one way fare between the two cities at R564 per person (prices will change). For land travel options, passengers should opt to book with Shosholoza Meyl, whose economy class train fare was the cheapest when we checked. The cheapest bus ticket price we found was offered by City to City. If you are thinking of renting a car to drive yourself to Pietermaritzburg for the Royal Show, be sure to book with Car Trawler whose prices were the most affordable when we checked. Kia Picanto is cheapest at King Shaka Airport

We compared the prices of car rental at Durban Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 23rd of May until 13h00 on Sunday the 25th of May 2014. Car Trawler offered the cheapest option that we found with a Kia Picanto or similar offered at R384 for the weekend. Please note that prices will change.
