As is often the case, Velvet Sky are the cheapest airline in today's survey. Villa Lugano Guest House is offering the cheapest guest house accommodation in Johannesburg - from R288 per night at a 4-star AA graded establishment. And First Car Rental is just R191 a day.
The prices tabled below are of one-way flights, coach trips and train trips from Durban to Johannesburg, leaving Durban between 17h29 and 20h31 on Friday the 29th of July 2011. First Car Rental came out on top when we priced the cost of renting a car from OR Tambo International Airport from 21h00 on Friday the 29th of July 2011 until 13h00 on Sunday the 31st of July 2011. Here are our findings:

Stuff to do in Jozi
If you're in Gauteng over the weekend of 30 July, you're very lucky as you'll catch the first leg of the Nando's Comedy Festival. In its fourth year running, the name speaks for itself - this event needs no selling. For those of you into your stand up comedy, you can't afford to miss it done in famous Nando's style. It's happening at the Teatro at Montecasino, and most of the acts are from overseas (so it's something fresh). Visit the official website for more info!
For something to busy yourself with a little earlier in the day we suggest heading down to the Bryanston Shopping Centre for the Fab Food Fair - it's only on for three days (28, 29, and 30 July 2011) and promises to be quite a unique experience of all things related to fine dining. If you're not convinced, be advised that they're giving away a ton of cool prizes - and that entrance is free.
